Death is imminent. Be careful what you wish for.

What are you most excited about for the future?

I’m going to be 66yrs old on 28th of July 2025. I retired as a Director of Audit in July 2019 when I turned 60yrs old  At the moment, I live in my own house and I have an SUV Toyota Highlander. I use it to run around but I live alone because my family is in the United Kingdom. I have been denied visa three times now for insufficient fund as required by the immigration laws.  I thank God for what I have accomplished in my life.

I have 2 children. Male and female and 2 granddaughters from my daughter who was my first child.

What do you think my hope for the future will be?

Given my situation, it’s natural to feel uncertain about the future.  I’ve worked hard and achieved a significant milestone in my career as a Director of Audit. Now, I’m facing challenges in reuniting with my family due to visa issues. Here are some potential hopes for my future that I’m most excited about:

  • Reunite with family: Continue working on my visa application, exploring alternative options or solutions that could help me meet the financial requirements. I have considered consulting an immigration lawyer for guidance.
  • Stay connected: I regularly schedule video calls and phone calls to stay in touch with my loved ones in the UK. This act helps me feel more connected and alleviate some of the emotional distance.
  • Pursue hobbies and interests: I engage in activities that bring me joy and fulfillment. These include anything from reading, gardening, or traveling (when possible) to learning new skills or volunteering.
  • Build a support network: I reach out to friends, family members, or neighbors who can provide emotional support and companionship.
  • Plan visits: I plan visits to other destinations that bring me joy and help me stay positive.
  • Focus on health and wellness: I prioritize my physical and mental well-being by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, exercising regularly, and seeking medical care when needed.

Some inspiring quotes about hope for the future that motivate me:

  • “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness” – Desmond Tutu
  • “The future will hold more challenges than we can imagine, but don’t ever let that stop you from dreaming, believing, and reaching for the stars!”
  • “Hope is a beautiful thing. It gives us peace and strength, and keeps us going when all seems lost” – Julie Donner Andersen

You can also find solace in biblical verses about hope, such as :

  • “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” – Jeremiah 29:11
  • “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” – Romans 15:13
  • “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure” – Hebrews 6:19
  • And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.-Romans 5:5 NIV

Remember, hope is a powerful force that can help you navigate life’s challenges. By focusing on your strengths, building a support network, and staying positive, you can create a brighter future for yourself.

Staying alive everyday gives me pleasure and I’m most excited knowing that when there is life, there is hope. I look forward to seeing my daughter, my son and my grandchildren become somebody in life and fulfilling their destinies.

Giving all glory to God Almighty. Thank you 👍😊
