What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

A kid typically refers to a child or young person. Having a “kid’s heart” is a metaphorical expression that means maintaining a sense of curiosity, wonder, and playfulness, like children often do. It can imply being open-minded, enthusiastic, and joyful, unencumbered by the complexities and seriousness of adulthood.

Kids’ innocence and curiosity can be both adorable and chaotic. Their actions can sometimes be mischievous or destructive, not necessarily because they have an “evil spirit,” but often because they’re still learning boundaries and consequences. Their curiosity drives them to explore and learn, even if it means making mistakes along the way.
So can it be justified by showing them their boundaries by discipline which causes pain?

No, that may lead to child abuse.

Now when an adult is a kid at heart, it means he has a forgiving spirit. He doesn’t count offence committed against him.  Kids fight and in a little while they have reconciled when you see them playing together again.

When an adult is a kid at heart, it means he is as curious as a cat so to say. The ignorance of the kids tend to push them to do unimaginable things even to the extent of being destructive yet you can’t tell if they realize the impact of what they have done. Except of course if it causes pain which teaches caution.

Being a kid at heart can mean different things to many people but the common ground for understanding this expression is what we know.
